Any digital picture source can be used for engraving.
This includes camera captures, vector graphics and
scans of your old photos and albums. The most common file types are:
JPEG, BMP, PNG, TIFF and SVG.
Resolution/DPI?
The higher the resolution, the higher the quality.
As a rule of thumb, a regular JPEG (72ppi)
should be at least twice as big on screen as the
physical result. Of course there are
exceptions. If you are unsure whether your pictures
and images meet the requirements, contact us.
Picture Editing and Artwork?
Send us your pictures "as is" or tell us if you have
editing preferences (e.g. background removal). Before we
engrave the result into glass, we always send out an artwork
for confirmation first.
